Mr. Tae Hayden is currently a fourth degree Black Belt in Taekwondo and a second degree Black Sash in the Ving Tsun Museum grading curriculum under the guidance of his Sifu, Master Benny Meng.

Sifu Hayden started his Taekwondo training in 1989, at the age of 13 and his Kung Fu training in 1992 at 15. He is one of the most active and dedicated students in Meng’s Martial Arts, assisting with all teaching responsibilities at the Huber Heights, OH Headquarters. Over the course of his training career, he has been recognized for his contributions five times, such as a Certificate of Achievement and the Presidential Sports Award in 1993, winning Meng’s Martial Arts Instructor of the Year in 1997, a Certificate of Appreciation in 2001, and a Significant Achievement Award from the City of Huber Heights.

Sifu Hayden’s tournament experience has taken him to through all levels of competition: local, State, Regionals, Nationals and World, where he took top honors in Sparring and Forms. Outside the tournament ring, he has served as an US Olympic National Champion Form Head Coach, twice as an US Olympic Champion Assistant Coach, and as a Junior Olympic Coach. He has also demonstrated his kicking expertise locally and nationally. Sifu Hayden is recognized as a Referee in both Kung Fu and Taekwondo.

His teaching expertise is in working with children, serving as a role model of hard work, honesty, and integrity.
