Sifu John Lambert (Cincinnati, OH)

Mr. John Lambert is currently an instructor at Meng’s Martial Arts of Cincinnati under the guidance of his Sifu, Master Benny Meng. Sifu Lambert performed his Baai Si under Master Meng on November 16, 2003. He was also accepted as a 10th Generation Disciple in the Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kuen system under Master Meng, granted by the systems Grand Master Garrett Gee, on the same day.

Sifu Lambert began his journey in martial arts in 1956 as a student of Sensei Eugene Fields in Judo. It was Sensei Fields who planted the seed of awareness, humility, and the love of the martial arts in his student. Later in life John Lambert would find that Tae Kwon Do had a place in his life and would study under Master Kwan Won Ahn and then Master William Scott Sr. He then embarked on a trek into Chinese martial arts with Sifu Kenneth Ware and Sifu Martin Ware who introduced him to the Northern Chinese arts.

On October 16, 2000, Sifu Lambert found the Ving Tsun Museum and Wing Chun Kung Fu (often spelled as Ving Tsun). He subsequently met his Sifu, Master Benny Meng, and began to study in the popular Wing Chun, a Southern Chinese art. In January 2001 Sifu Lambert began his formal study in the original Martial Science of Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kung Fu with his Sifu and became a Disciple under Master Meng, gaining recognition as a member of the 10th Generation within the Hung Fa Yi system by Grand Master Garrett Gee. In Hung Fa Yi Wing Chun Kung Fu Sifu Lambert has found the martial art that is the correct "fit" for his Body, Mind, and Spirit. He continues his studies as a lifelong commitment to the promotion and preservation of the martial arts.

In his professional past, Sifu Lambert founded the consulting firm of John Lambert & Company, Ltd. The firm provided council and training for small businesses and entrepreneurs. In 1994 he developed the Business Development Program, which was designed to reorganize and restructure a business in 30 days by redefining the management structure, expanding their market, and reducing operating costs. He authored the book The 30 Day Turn Around, a self-help book written to provide the entrepreneur with the principles and techniques for developing, rejuvenating, and growing his business. The information presented in his seminars and training programs was published in newspapers and magazines, and presented in his television appearances.

Sifu Lambert also spent a significant part of his career as an accountant in General Electric Aircraft Engines financial organizations holding a broad range of positions of responsibility. He interfaced with, and provided expertise to, the procurement and flight maintenance departments of the world’s largest airlines. He also directed international projects and supervised teams of analyst in the audit and evaluation of inventories located in North America, South America, and Europe.
