Students are expected to:

1)      Bringsafety equipment to class on Wednesday/Thursday and Sunday

 

2)     Keep uniform neat, clean, and odor-free. DO NOT washyour sash. Students are not allowed to wear any outfits other than the SchoolUniform, School T-shirts, or School Training pants. If you come unprepared forclass, you will not be allowed to attend class

 

3)     Quietly prepare for class. DO NOT disturb the classin session

 

4)      Showrespect to your instructor and fellow students in and out of class. Make sureyou know the proper terms of respect:

 

·        Sifu for the Centerville HeadInstructor (Jeremy Roadruck)

·        Sigung for the Meng’s Martial ArtsMaster Instructor (Master Benny Meng)

·        Sihing for older male classmates, Sijefor older female classmates (started before you)

·        Sidai for younger male classmates, Simuifor younger female classmates (started after you)

·        Sibaak for your Sifu’s older trainingsiblings, Sisuk for your Sifu’s younger training siblings

 

When latefor class do 50 pushups and then respectfully ask to join class when theinstructor is free.

Whenleaving early, inform the instructor before class

 

5)     Always be well mannered and behave properly; remindguests to do the same

 

6)     Show proper effort and spirit in the classroom

 

7)     Develop and maintain a positive, well-disciplinedattitude

 

8)     Memorize and apply the School Creed

 

9)     Attend class on a regular and consistent schedule (atleast twice a week)

 

10) Practice and exercise at home for better results

 

There are two required texts for all students:

1)     Textbook:            MasteringKung Fu (adults and teens)

2)     Student Manual:            Meng’sSchool Manual (all students)

 

These texts contain information on martial arts history,philosophy, theory, concepts, principles and terminology. The bulk of alllectures come from these texts.
